Irving N. Elbling, a longtime Pittsburgh resident and member of the Jewish community, was born in Salem, Massachusetts, in July 1920. From 1950 to 1990, Irving N. Elbling was extensively involved in many local and international organizations. He was a former president of the Bnai Brith Pittsburgh Council, the Bnai Brith Mens Council, and its District Grand Lodge No. Three, which served Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Delaware.
